The American Expats Meetup Group

For American Expats new to Lisbon who would like to get quickly acquainted with the city, Americans who have been living here for a while and for Portuguese or other non-Americans who would like to experience a taste of American culture and language. This ia a great group of people who do a variety of things so you are sure to find something you are interested in participating in.

The Lisbon British Expats Meetup Group

Don't be fooled by the name. This Meetup group is open to anyone. They have a very informal monthly get together at O'Gilin's Irish Pub as well as hosting various events in between. It is a great group of people from all nationalities, all of whom speak English or are trying to improve their English so don't hesitate to stop by and say hello.

AmCit [am-sit]: bureaucrat speak for American Citizen, a native or naturalized member of the USA. This page is for Americans and friends living in Portugal and is managed by the American Citizen Services of the US Embassy in Lisbon.

British Community Council

The British Community Council of Lisbon brings together English speaking people from many walks of life to enjoy a wide variety of social, sporting and cultural events and helps support many charitable organisations. It offers opportunities to make new friends, discover new activities, explore Portugal and keep in touch with the English speaking community. The members represent a broad spectrum of nationalities and range from those who have lived in the Lisbon area for many years to recent arrivals.
